Customer policies

Clear terms for a local-first creator product.

These policies apply to AI Content Studio Founding Creator Edition. The Terms and Support Policy are effective August 2, 2026; the Privacy and Refund Policies were revised and approved August 8, 2026 for Polar checkout and licensing.

Terms of use

License and acceptable use

Acceptance and license

By purchasing, installing, activating, or using the Software, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Subject to payment and compliance, one individual purchaser receives a perpetual, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased version on up to two devices controlled by that purchaser. Maintenance updates and email support are included for 12 months after purchase.

You may use content packages you create for personal or commercial projects, subject to law, provider terms, platform rules, and third-party rights. You may not resell, sublicense, publish, rent, share, reverse engineer except where law expressly permits, provide the Software as a service, share a license key, bypass controls, manipulate engagement, or use the Software to violate law or another person’s rights.

Customer accounts and costs

You supply and control compatible AI-provider and platform accounts, credentials, billing, quotas, and spend limits. Provider usage is billed separately. The Seller does not guarantee that a third party will approve an account, maintain an API, accept content, grant quota, preserve pricing, or continue a feature. Some providers require identity or organization verification.

AI output and human review

AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, similar to existing material, or unsuitable. The Software does not guarantee accuracy, originality, copyright protection, platform approval, monetization, exposure, audience growth, revenue, or virality. You are responsible for reviewing claims, sources, scripts, images, voices, captions, permissions, disclosures, and final posts.

Beta, privacy, and termination

The Founding Creator Edition is beta software and may contain defects or lose integrations. Use is subject to the Privacy Policy. The Seller may suspend or terminate a license for material breach, unlawful use, security abuse, charge reversal, or unauthorized redistribution, with notice and cure rights where required.

Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Software and support are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or error-free results. The Seller will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost profits, data, goodwill, audience, or opportunity. Aggregate liability will not exceed the amount paid for the Software. Rights and liabilities that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

Law, changes, and contact

These Terms are governed by Illinois law, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. Courts with lawful jurisdiction in Illinois have venue, subject to mandatory rights. Material changes receive a new effective date and will not retroactively remove a paid perpetual license to the purchased version. Notices may be sent to don@outsidetheboxit.consulting.

Privacy policy

Local-first by design

Information on your computer

Projects, scripts, approvals, claims, brand profiles, receipts, analytics, generated assets, videos, backups, and audit metadata remain in local directories you control. This edition has no Seller-operated advertising tracking or usage telemetry. Supported social refresh credentials are stored in a local encrypted vault.

Information sent at your request

Generation sends only the instructions and project content needed for the request to the provider you configure. Google receives requested OAuth scopes when you connect YouTube. Public publishing remains manual. Third-party providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Purchases, licenses, and support

Polar is the merchant of record and processes checkout payments, applicable taxes, refunds, chargebacks, receipts, and payment-card compliance under its own terms. The Seller may receive order information made available by Polar but does not receive full payment-card details. License activation and validation send Polar only the license key, organization and benefit identifiers, purchase email, instance identifier, and instance name needed to activate or validate the purchased license.

Use, disclosure, and retention

Seller-received information is used to fulfill purchases and licenses, provide support and security notices, prevent abuse, comply with law, and improve the Software using de-identified feedback. The Seller does not sell customer project content, credentials, or personal information. Order and accounting records may be retained up to seven years; ordinary support correspondence up to three years after the last interaction, with longer retention where reasonably required.

Security and rights

The Software uses local binding, restrictive browser headers, request-origin validation, credential encryption, verified backups, and render checksums. No safeguard eliminates all risk. Depending on location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of personal information held directly by the Seller. Contact don@outsidetheboxit.consulting. The Software is intended for adults and businesses and is not directed to children under 13.

Refund policy

Fourteen-day request window

You may request a refund within 14 calendar days after purchase. Email don@outsidetheboxit.consulting from the purchase email address and include the checkout provider’s order or transaction identifier. A reason is helpful but not required. Never send credentials or private content.

Approved refunds return through the authorized checkout provider to the original payment method. The license and update access may be disabled, and you must stop using and delete the Software. This policy does not limit consumer remedies that cannot legally be waived. The checkout provider may also handle refunds and disputes under its policies.

Support policy

Twelve months of included support

Founding Creator customers receive installation, activation, configuration, security-notice, and defect-triage support for 12 months. Support is provided Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays, in the America/Chicago time zone. The initial response target is two business days.

Standard support does not include content strategy, custom production, identity verification, provider charges, third-party outages, platform moderation, custom integrations, legal review, guaranteed platform access, or recovery of credentials or unbacked files.

Include the product version, Windows version, action attempted, and exact non-secret error. Never send API keys, OAuth tokens, license keys, local configuration, private media, databases, or the secrets directory. Contact don@outsidetheboxit.consulting.
